Trust

our operating standard

Avans gets used in stressful moments: a vet bill, a broken boiler, a rent cycle that didn't quite line up. That kind of product needs craft, restraint, and people who care about details users should never have to notice.

01

Who thrives here

Avans is for people who like clear thinking, direct ownership, and products where user trust is the real feature. We value people who can move fast without turning serious financial flows into theatre.

  • Product-minded engineers
  • Operations people who love clean process
  • Designers who can make finance feel calm
  • Risk and compliance thinkers with practical judgment
02

How we work

We keep teams small, write things down, and ship in careful increments. The best work here combines speed with a willingness to ask whether the user will understand the consequence of every tap.

03

Open role: Product Developer

We are looking for a product-minded developer to help build the Avans web and app experience: onboarding, salary access flows, account controls, and the quiet infrastructure around them. This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about clean interfaces, dependable systems, and financial products that feel simple without being simplistic.

  • React / Next.js experience
  • Strong product judgment
  • Comfort with privacy-sensitive data
  • Based in Switzerland or able to work closely with Swiss hours
04

Open applications

We may not always have public roles listed, but we read thoughtful introductions. Tell us what you want to build, what you have owned before, and why giving people early access to their own salary matters to you.

Hiring principles

We look for judgment as much as skill.

  • High trust, low ego
  • Clear writing
  • Comfort with regulated products
  • Respect for user privacy
